Engineering Program Manager

The Engineering Program Manager will manage the customers projects and ensures the support/technical interface for the customers. He/she will develop the projects from the costing process to the serial production. He/she will be responsible in assisting and solving problems, providing innovative solutions for products and process. He / she will work in close collaboration with the Tristone plants and the Key Account Managers. He /she will represent the Tristone's interests to create and facilitate good relationships with the customers as well as the satisfaction of their needs. He/she will contribute to the development of the business with its customers.

 

Main Tasks

  • Conducts the programs respecting the objectives defined in terms of cost, timeline, quality and profitability from design phase to serial production. Conducts programs during modification phases for live products
  • Ensures technical interface with customer during the whole program, from design phase up to serial production and also during modification phase for serial live products
  • Presents technical choices to the customer and explains them; promotes Tristone innovative solutions
  • Ensures program management with transverse and functional coordination with dedicated plant teams (engineering, plant designer, quality, purchasing, logistic) and technical centers (CAD residents, labs, experts) in order to honor programs major steps
  • Elaborates, supports and presents the investment case of the program in coordination with sales
  • Handles program risks (quality, costs, timeline, feasibility), defines related action plans and follows up their implementation in coordination with the relevant departments
  • Completes program indicators, completes and updates the cost follow up, the program planning, variance analysis in collaboration with the KAM
  • Organizes and leads program reviews to ensure industrial feasibility, process optimization and reach of objectives in terms of cost, quality, deadlines for internal and external customers
  • Communicates to sales department relevant information to allow the optimization of product margin and program cost and is tracking these in the internal database
  • Ensures the program key measurables, milestones and gate reviews are planned, tracked and recorded using the PM DB
  • Constantly improve our skills and processes in order to maximize efficiencies in our roles.
  • Technical coordination together with potential suppliers (internal / external)

 

Professional Experience

  • Multinational approach - international experience
  • Proven experience in customer project management

 

Education

  • Engineering or Equivalent

 

Languages

  • Chinese: Native / Fluent
  • English: Native / Fluent

 

Technical Skills

  • Knowledge in Planning software, Functional analysis, FMEA, APQP Process (from RFQ to SOP)
  • Technical knowledge in the automotive sector.
  • Product and production know how (knowledge of elastomer and thermoplastic technology
